A few ways we’ve changed the world…

Can you believe it's been seven years (!) since I first launched the Cute Little Fuckers Kickstarter campaign?

At the time, we were the first adult toy company to be allowed on Kickstarter in over a decade... and it almost didn't happen at all.

In fact, it took seven months of negotiation with the folks at Kickstarter, who were hesitant to platform a queer sex toy company. In the end, they finally pushed the campaign live after I wrote them one final letter, telling them that censoring us was equivalent to censoring sexuality and queerness. I insisted they show up for marginalized communities, even when it wasn’t easy.

It was a HUGE win. Publications everywhere wrote about it.

I’ve seen things shift since then.

For example, at one of first furry cons at which we vended, other companies were forced to keep their wares behind black banners. Amazingly, we didn’t have to because our toys were cute and welcoming even to those who weren’t specifically there looking for sexual spaces. Our being able to be present in that way was different and radical and the beginning of some real change. And the visibility allowed us to have cool conversations with people—including con organizers—about the normalization of sex toys, and of the importance of visibility and accessibility.

And last year, a friend of mine launched a Kickstarter for an adult toy and received zero flack! After their launch, they sent me a text saying, “I can’t help but feel I have you to thank for this!”

All of this change wasn’t just done by us alone. It was done with you. With your help and your support, with your loving what we do. All of this has made that radical change and the continual growth and impact of Cute Little Fuckers possible. Thank you!!!
